FIR against NewsClick by Delhi police – Flaunt Post

The Delhi Police, in an FIR filed under anti-terror law UAPA following allegations against news portal NewsClick, has contended that massive finances came from China to disrupt India’s sovereignty and beget souring against the country.
The Delhi Police served a dupe of the FIR to the gate on Friday, a day after a megacity court directed it to do so. According to the FIR, a dupe of which is with PTI, Chinese telecom titans have floated thousands of shell companies in India.
It also alleges that the author and editor-in-chief of NewsClick, Prabir Purkayastha, conspired with a group — People’s Alliance for Democracy and Secularism( PADS) — to sabotage the electoral process during the 2019 Lok Sabha pates. The FIR doesn’t give any further details about the identity of Bhatia, and court records involving the two Chinese companies named don’t show Gautam Bhatia as their counsel. The best-known and most visible counsel carrying that name is the author of extensively accredited books on the Constitution and free speech, and his court practice has tended to be hardly concentrated on mortal rights-related cases. He’s not known to have dealings with telecom enterprises, let alone Chinese bones.
The FIR filed on August 17, 2023, names Purkayastha, the activist Gautam Navlakha, and the US businessman Neville Roy Singham and invokes multiple sections of the Unlawful Conditioning( Prevention) Act –13/16/17/ 18/ 22C – i.e., unlawful conditioning, terrorism, raising finances for terrorism, conspiracy and offenses by companies – besides section 153A and 120B of the Indian Penal Code( promoting hostility between groups, felonious conspiracy).
According to intelligencers who were taken for questioning, an FIR under the strict Unlawful Conditioning( Prevention) Act and colorful sections of the IPC had been registered. Still, the contents of this FIR weren’t made available intimately or to the intelligencers taken for questioning. The raids were conducted at different positions, including Bhasha Singh, Urmilesh, Newsclick editor Prabir Purkayastha, Paranjoy Guha Thakurta and Githa Hariharan, Aunindyo Chakravarty, Anuradha Raman, activist annalist Sohail Hashmi, and stand- up ridiculous Sanjay Rajaura.

Sarah Burton’s Givenchy Debut: A New Era Through the Female Gaze

Sarah Burton has officially redefined Givenchy. In her Fall 2025 debut at Paris Fashion Week, the former Alexander McQueen creative director brought a feminine perspective to the legendary house, embracing strength, vulnerability, and emotional intelligence. This moment felt significant—not only because of Burton’s storied past but also because so few women currently helm major luxury brands.
A Tribute to Givenchy’s Heritage
Burton’s inspiration came from Hubert de Givenchy’s 1952 debut collection, known for its clean, graphic silhouettes. A recent discovery of the maison’s archival calico patterns further fueled her vision, leading to designs that balanced wearable ease with dramatic, couture-like elements.
The show opened with a black fishnet catsuit, a bold reset before transitioning into the essence of Burton’s Givenchy—a collection that honored the past while embracing modern femininity.
Key Looks & Defining Elements
Oversized Suits with Cinched Waists → A powerful balance of structure and fluidity.
Sleeveless Dresses with Ruffled Hemlines → Adding movement and drama to everyday elegance.
Cocoon-Like Coats & Jackets → Featuring rounded, puffed-up shoulders, nodding to Givenchy’s classic volume play.
Body-Diverse Runway Casting → One of the few Paris shows this season to feature a range of body types, reinforcing Burton’s commitment to dressing real women.
A New Vision for Modern Women
Burton’s Givenchy is about more than just clothes—it’s about how women want to feel: powerful, sexy, vulnerable, and strong, all at once. Her debut collection wasn’t just a runway success—it was a statement on the future of fashion, where femininity is both celebrated and redefined.
