Joint Operation Leads to Arrest of Suspected ISIS Terrorists in Delhi – Flaunt Post

Published

on

In a joint operation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Delhi Police’s Special Cell, a major breakthrough was achieved in the fight against terrorism. Three individuals with suspected ties to ISIS, including one on the NIA’s most-wanted list, were apprehended in Delhi. The arrested individuals have been identified as Shahnawaz, Mohammed Rizwan, and Mohammed Arshad Warsi.

Shahnawaz, who also goes by the alias Shafi Uzzama, had been a high-priority target for law enforcement agencies. He was captured by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police at a concealed location within the national capital. This arrest represents a collaborative effort between the Delhi Police Special Cell and the NIA, aimed at dismantling terrorist networks operating across various states.

Shahnawaz, a trained engineer, was sought in connection with the ISIS Pune module case. According to sources, he originally hailed from Delhi and had moved to Pune. Two of his friends were captured during a raid that was carried out in Pune back in July, but Shahnawaz was able to escape and make his way back to Delhi, where he has been hiding since then. Notably, the NIA earlier this month offered a reward of 3 lakh rupees for information that resulted in the capture of Rizwan Abdul Haji Ali, Talha Liyakat Khan, Abdulla Faiyaz Shaikh, alias Diaperwala, and Shahnawaz.

The trio, Shahnawaz, Abdulla, and Rizwan, were reportedly radicalised through the Telegram app and were allegedly linked to an ISIS module in Pune, Maharashtra.  According to sources within the NIA, their alleged goal was to incite unrest and terror throughout the nation. For instance, Abdulla is believed to have run a nappy shop in Pune that was used to assemble explosive devices. According to NIA officials, there are concerns that he would try to flee to Oman.

In a separate but connected occurrence, Rizwan Ali, a Delhi native, and his younger brother were earlier detained in 2018 over claimed ties to ISIS. Rizwan was released after taking part in a deradicalisation programme because security agents were unable to prove the accusations they were facing. He moved to Pune after being freed, where he told his family he was running a computer company. He wed and settled in Pune with his wife. However, when Rizwan’s father became ill, the couple moved back to Delhi. A little more than two months ago, Rizwan mysteriously left his house.

Shahnawaz was initially arrested together with two accomplices named Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yunus Khan and Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yakub Saki, after his dramatic escape from police custody in Pune. Shahnawaz was able to escape the police car as they were being driven to their home in Kondhwa, Pune.

In March 2022, explosives were found in a car in Rajasthan, and Khan and Saki, who are from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh, were reportedly involved in that case. Each of them carried a reward of 5 lakhs. More people were taken into custody after the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) took over the inquiry, including an IT engineer named Qadir Dastagir Pathan and SN Kazi in Kondhwa. Khan, Saki, and others involved in the case were subjected to the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act provisions by the ATS. Khan and Saki revealed that Shahnawaz had acid stashed nearby at Bopatghat near Kondhwa throughout the course of the investigation. The Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad was called in to help the NIA safely handle acid and other chemicals used in explosives.

The ATS also confiscated numerous items and found 500 terabytes of data on the suspects’ laptops and cell phones. Links to bomb-making tutorial videos on YouTube and Google pictures of various areas were also included in this data. To learn more about Shahnawaz’s involvement and any possible ties to terrorist activity, authorities are continuing their investigations.

The successful operation in apprehending these individuals represents a significant step in the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and maintain security in the region. It highlights the value of inter-agency collaboration and the unwavering commitment of law enforcement organisations to protecting the country from the risks presented by terrorist elements. India’s counterterrorism efforts will be strengthened as a result of the probe into the arrested people’s actions and any networks they may have been affiliated with.

Sarah Burton’s Givenchy Debut: A New Era Through the Female Gaze

Published

on

Sarah Burton has officially redefined Givenchy. In her Fall 2025 debut at Paris Fashion Week, the former Alexander McQueen creative director brought a feminine perspective to the legendary house, embracing strength, vulnerability, and emotional intelligence. This moment felt significant—not only because of Burton’s storied past but also because so few women currently helm major luxury brands.

A Tribute to Givenchy’s Heritage

Burton’s inspiration came from Hubert de Givenchy’s 1952 debut collection, known for its clean, graphic silhouettes. A recent discovery of the maison’s archival calico patterns further fueled her vision, leading to designs that balanced wearable ease with dramatic, couture-like elements.

The show opened with a black fishnet catsuit, a bold reset before transitioning into the essence of Burton’s Givenchy—a collection that honored the past while embracing modern femininity.

Key Looks & Defining Elements

Oversized Suits with Cinched Waists → A powerful balance of structure and fluidity.

Sleeveless Dresses with Ruffled Hemlines → Adding movement and drama to everyday elegance.

Cocoon-Like Coats & Jackets → Featuring rounded, puffed-up shoulders, nodding to Givenchy’s classic volume play.

Body-Diverse Runway Casting → One of the few Paris shows this season to feature a range of body types, reinforcing Burton’s commitment to dressing real women.

A New Vision for Modern Women

Burton’s Givenchy is about more than just clothes—it’s about how women want to feel: powerful, sexy, vulnerable, and strong, all at once. Her debut collection wasn’t just a runway success—it was a statement on the future of fashion, where femininity is both celebrated and redefined.
