Published

on

India has started Operation Ajay, a key mission intended to guarantee the safe return of its about 18,000 residents who are now living in Israel, in response to the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas group in the Gaza Strip. The government’s unflinching dedication to the welfare and safety of its citizens living abroad is highlighted by this effort, which is being overseen by India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Operation Ajay employs a multifaceted strategy to hasten the departure of Indian nationals from Israel, including the use of special charter planes and other arrangements. This initiative comes at a crucial time because the lives and safety of these people are now in danger due to the rising tensions.

Using social media, Foreign Minister Jaishankar declared the government’s unwavering commitment to protecting its nationals abroad. He emphasised the importance of this operation in light of the perilous situation in the region and the urgent need to ensure the well-being of Indian nationals. The Indian Embassy in Israel has moved quickly to take action, making contact with the first registered group of Indian nationals who are scheduled to board a special flight to India the next day. All registered citizens will be safely evacuated as a result of the embassy’s thorough efforts to contact and facilitate their return.

In addition, India has set up 24/7 control rooms in Delhi and special emergency helplines in Tel Aviv and Ramallah in response to this situation. These essential tools serve the dual purposes of providing Indian citizens with crucial information and aid while also monitoring the changing situation in the conflict-affected regions. The telephone numbers for the Delhi control room are 1800118797 (toll-free), 91-11 23012113, 91-11 23014104, 91-11 23017905, and 919968291988. The email address for the control room is situationroom@mea.gov.in

The Indian Embassy has the full support of the Israeli government as it carries out Operation Ajay. Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, Kobbi Shoshani, has expressed genuine appreciation for the students and businesspeople who are part of the Indian community in Israel. This thriving diaspora of Indians has greatly aided Israel’s economy and strengthened cultural relations.

Operation Ajay takes place at a time of continuous conflict in the region. A considerable number of people have died as a result of the continuous attacks between Israeli forces and Hamas militants in Gaza. According to Israeli authorities, their side has suffered over 1,200 casualties, including 155 troops, while the number of Palestinian fatalities in Gaza has reportedly reached over 950. This tragic toll emphasises how urgent and essential Operation Ajay is in guaranteeing the safe return of Indian residents in the face of a dangerous and highly unpredictable situation.

India’s proactive response through Operation Ajay demonstrates its commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens amid the conflicts and rising tensions in the region. India’s commitment to protecting its citizens, wherever they may be, and to international diplomacy and crisis management are both highlighted by the mission’s focus on aiding their speedy return from a combat zone. For Indians in Israel who are caught up in a difficult and chaotic situation, Operation Ajay serves as a ray of hope and comfort, reassuring them that their government is making every effort to ensure their safe return.

Published

on

Sarah Burton has officially redefined Givenchy. In her Fall 2025 debut at Paris Fashion Week, the former Alexander McQueen creative director brought a feminine perspective to the legendary house, embracing strength, vulnerability, and emotional intelligence. This moment felt significant—not only because of Burton’s storied past but also because so few women currently helm major luxury brands.

A Tribute to Givenchy’s Heritage

Burton’s inspiration came from Hubert de Givenchy’s 1952 debut collection, known for its clean, graphic silhouettes. A recent discovery of the maison’s archival calico patterns further fueled her vision, leading to designs that balanced wearable ease with dramatic, couture-like elements.

The show opened with a black fishnet catsuit, a bold reset before transitioning into the essence of Burton’s Givenchy—a collection that honored the past while embracing modern femininity.

Key Looks & Defining Elements

Oversized Suits with Cinched Waists → A powerful balance of structure and fluidity.

Sleeveless Dresses with Ruffled Hemlines → Adding movement and drama to everyday elegance.

Cocoon-Like Coats & Jackets → Featuring rounded, puffed-up shoulders, nodding to Givenchy’s classic volume play.

Body-Diverse Runway Casting → One of the few Paris shows this season to feature a range of body types, reinforcing Burton’s commitment to dressing real women.

A New Vision for Modern Women

Burton’s Givenchy is about more than just clothes—it’s about how women want to feel: powerful, sexy, vulnerable, and strong, all at once. Her debut collection wasn’t just a runway success—it was a statement on the future of fashion, where femininity is both celebrated and redefined.
